On August 11, 2023, SKT 9th Year Building Hall was abuzz with excitement and innovation as the annual STEAM Project Exhibition took center stage. This year's event was a remarkable showcase of young minds' creativity and problem-solving prowess, with 15 teams from Year 8 to Year 13 coming together to address local challenges through social awareness and innovative solutions. The exhibition demonstrated that the participants' dedication positively impacted and highlighted the power of collaboration and out-of-the-box thinking.

Diverse Projects with a Unified Theme

Under the overarching theme of "Addressing Local Problems with Social Awareness and Innovative Solutions," each participating team brought forth a unique project to make tangible differences in their community. The project tackled various topics, and the young participants held for the world around them, showcasing the depth of understanding and empathy from environmental concerns to accessibility issues.

Winning with Excellence and Innovation

Among the impressive projects, three teams stood out for their exemplary work and innovative approaches. These winners embodied the spirit of the exhibition's theme and demonstrated the potential of STEAM education to drive meaningful change.

First Place: The Team Enerverse

Team Enerverse's project wowed the judges with its inventive solution to energy consumption. Using a combination of excess air from the A.C. panels and kinetic energy capture, the team developed a prototype that converted the wasted air from the Air Conditioner's propeller into usable electricity for the school. Their visionary approach addressed the local concern of energy conservation and showcased the potential of sustainable energy sources. Team Enerverse's project exemplified the fusion of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics to create a more sustainable future.

Second Place: The Team Dyslexia-Friendly Fonts

In a display of empathy and inclusivity, Team Dyslexia Friendly Fonts unveiled a project to make Thai written content more accessible to Thai individuals with dyslexia. Through meticulous research and typography design, the team crafted a set of fonts that improved readability and comprehension for Thai students with dyslexia. Their project underscored the importance of considering diverse needs within the community and using innovative design to bridge accessibility gaps.

Third Place: The Team Eco Bag

Team Eco Bag discussed the urgent issue of plastic waste pollution by designing and producing a line of reusable eco-friendly bags. The team's project offered a practical solution to a local problem and inspired a shift towards more sustainable consumer habits. Team Eco Bag showcased the powerful impact of combining arts and science to drive positive change by blending artistic creativity with environmental consciousness.
