Today, we are extremely honored to welcome His Excellency Mr. Paolo Dionisi, Ambassador of Italy to the Kingdom of Thailand, along with our esteemed guests, to Suankularb Wittayalai Thonburi School.
Under the leadership of Principal Dr. Sarayut Ratanapanya, Vice Principals, Head of the Foreign Language Department, Head of the International Programme, and Director of the Language and Computer Center, along with attending teachers and students, warmly welcomed the ambassador and the guests.
After viewing a video showcasing the Italian course and events at SKT, and being pleasantly surprised to discover three exchange students from Italy, the ambassador pledged to actively seek funding to promote the teaching of the Italian language at SKT. He also expressed hope for increased student exchanges and academic collaborations between Italy and Thailand in the future.
Our school also prepared a splendid performance of traditional Thai dance, an Italian song, and a choir. The ambassador was deeply moved, remarking that the welcome ceremony prepared by the school was truly touching.
Principal Dr. Sarayut Ratanapanya received a sponsorship totaling THB 131,188.54 from the Embassy of Italy in Bangkok on behalf of the school. In return, Principal Dr. Sarayut Ratanapanya presented the ambassador with a symbolic scarf and a precious gift.
Even more delightful, the ambassador personally invited the students performing today to showcase their talents at the Embassy of Italy in Bangkok on Italy's National Day. This is a significant recognition and honor.
Once again, we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to His Excellency Mr. Paolo Dionisi, Ambassador of Italy to the Kingdom of Thailand, and the Embassy of Italy in Bangkok for unwavering support in promoting the study of this beautiful language within our school.
